Live from Chicago; Obama Headquarters

Correspondent Bailey Mosier, live in Chicago, had problems getting through to us here in Phoenix, but finally gets through to report this “The lines are jammed, I have been trying to get through for a long time now. People are crying and demanding to see Palin on screen.” Once Palin was shown, Mosier reports that people are booing and laughing at her.

McCain Makes Eloquent Speech…

Says the campaign trail has been a long road, but says that this night must be a proud one for African Americans everywhere. Says Obama has achieved something great for himself and offered his condolences to him for the loss of his Grandmother. Also says he will do all in his power to help the country to succeed. McCain offered his good will in order to bridge differences and come together as Americans. The crowd is cheering “John McCain” as thanks people for their support. Palin is by his side, teary eyed, as McCain continues to thank those who supported him. McCain says he doesn’t know what more he could have done to win this election. He says this campaign was, and will remain, the great honor of his life.

She says that the atmosphere there is much like a sporting event. “People are shouting O-ba-ma and doing the wave.” She also reports that people are saying that “McCain is too much like Bush. They say they want change, and Obama is that change.”

Ariz Prop 101 Too Close to Call

Prop 101, Medical Choice for AZ, is currently at 50 percent yes, 50 percent no with 48 percent of precincts reporting.

If the Initiative is passed, “The ‘Freedom of Choice in Health Care Act’ will preserve and protect the rights of individuals to make their own health care and health insurance choices. This initiative will guarantee the right of Arizonans to make their own health care choices.

Ariz Prop 100- YES

Steve Elliott, former AP bureau chief has called Proposition 100, “Protect Our Homes” a Yes. The Ariz ballot initiative was one that would amend the Constitution to prohibit imposing any real estate fees on the homeowner.

The race was called as 77 percent Yes, 23 percent No.

The initiative will prohibit the government from charging any new tax on the sale or transfer of real property in Arizona. Currently, there are no real property sales or transfer taxes in Arizona. However, the government could enact a real property sale or transfer tax at any time. This Initiative would prohibit the enactment of any new real property sales or transfer tax by a constitutional amendment.
